Football Club Barcelona informs Manchester City of their intentions of signing Raheem Sterling in January Transfer window.
However, the club's situation financially is what it is and they can only loan him with a non-obligatory option to buy, says Sport.
Depending on the player's performance they could next summer do this, although it would be 50 million euros or more and they don't want to mortgage themselves.
Barcelona are sure they can make Sterling's signing. The player and Man City were both happy for him to go in August, but the club could not sign Harry Kane or Cristiano Ronaldo.
Sterling stayed but he's not happy there and has said so in public. He has not renewed his deal and is not playing well.
City would be happy to get him out as he could be a problem in the dressing room, and would also make savings on his big salary.
If he stays in Manchester, barely playing, it will affect his value.
