Ian Rush one of Liverpool's greatest players has expressed Joy over know that Mohamed Salah is Motivated by records.
The Egyptian forward has enjoyed an incredible start to the 2021/22 season and recently entered the Reds' top-ten list for all-time top-scorers.
Salah will have further records in his sights should he remain at the club past 2023 and Rush, the Reds' record scorer, has no problem with the 29-year-old attempting to break long-standing records of his.
Speaking to Egyptian newspaper Sada el-Balad, Rush said: “I speak to Mo a lot and funnily enough I met Mo at the Leeds game (in September) and I was having a chat with him and he said to me: 'How the hell did you score 300 goals!?'
"So I had to remind him, actually, it was 346! Overall he's a great professional and is always hungry for more.
“Records are there to be broken, so I am very happy to see them being pursued because it means it will only help the team.
The most important thing about breaking records is to make sure the team wins trophies, that's when it will mean something."
