Coutinho Intends To See Off His Contract At Barcelona

Philippe Coutinho earns just as much money per year at Barcelona, as his current market value - €20m.

The midfielder who's among the highest earners at the club plans to run down his contract at Barca, according to Sport.

The Brazilian cost Barca €135m when he moved from Liverpool in the winter of 2018.

Since then, the 29-year-old has played 101 games, scoring 24 goals.

This season, the former Inter Milan playmaker has featured 11 games so far this season, scoring once.

Coutinho's contract expires in 2023, which means Barcelona must keep their top earner on payroll, regardless of whether suitors come for him, or not.
