Sergi Roberto will not take part in Barcelona's crunch tie against Espanyol on Saturday, Diaro AS claim.
It's not that Roberto is injured - the midfielder has been seen training with the first team this week.
However, Xavi will omit him from the squad as he struggled to pass a fitness test by physical trainers.
In a new directive by Xavi, the players will no longer have the final say on whether they're fit to play or not - that decision will now be made by the physiotherapists, coaches and team doctors.
