Guardiola labels Bernardo Silva 'the best' player in the Premier League

Bernardo Silva is on a hot streak for Manchester City, netting three goals and assisting two more in his team's last six games.

Asked to comment on the player's form and quality after the win against Aston Villa, Pep Guardiola said: "He is the best. He was the best two or three seasons ago. He was the best then too. He has a special ability to do whatever he wants with the ball.

"You have to go back to when we won with 98 points, review the videos, you will see the same player like this right now."

We can't help but laugh at this absurd statement from Pep. It's one thing to encourage and motivate your players but it's quite another to outright lie!

Silva has 5 league goals and one assist so far; Mohamed Salah has 13 goal and eight assists in one more appearance! It's not even a debate as to who is the best player in the league right now.

We're sure that Jurgen Klopp and Salah had a big laugh when they saw this statement.
