Pele hospitalised again for further colon tumour treatment

Brazil legend Pele has been hospitalized to undergo treatment for a colon tumour, it's been confirmed by Sao Paulo's Hospital Albert Einstein via Reuters.

Back in September, the three-time World Cup winner underwent surgery to remove the tumour and stayed in the hospital for almost a month.

Now, the hospital does not provide information over how the treatment is progressing, noting only that Pele is 'stable'. It's expected that he'll be released in the coming days.

Pele has had other health issues in recent years. For example, he can't walk without aid now after a hip surgery left him with recurring pain in 2016.

The 81-year-old is considered one of the best footballers ever. He is still the only one to win three World Cups as a player.
