West Ham eye Phillips, Liverpool's stance revealed

According to the Evening Standard, West Ham are interested in signing Liverpool centre-back Nathaniel Phillips.

The Hammers want to get the defender in early January as they need a cover for the injured Kurt Zouma.

Liverpool are keen on selling the defender for the right price, according to reliable James Pearce.

Nat himself would like to leave Liverpool as he understands he is not going to get enough playing time at Anfield.

Phillips put in a top-notch defensive performance against AC Milan in the Champions League earlier this week.

The game at San Siro is the only time he has completed 90 minutes on the pitch so far this season.
