Ter Stegen and 4 more: Barca's worst performers in Bayern loss
Marc-Andre ter Stegen — 2
Although Ter Stegen saved Barcelona a few times, the second goal he conceded was a was a complete embarrassment. A goalkeeper of his supposed level should not concede shots from that distance, especially ones that are nowhere near accurate.
Sergino Dest — 2
The American was taken off at halftime and it was completely fair. Dest was useless in attack, he missed the only half-chance the Catalans had the whole game, and in defence, he was poor as well.
Gerard Pique — 3
Too sluggish and too inactive for a modern defender. There is no excuse for Pique to let Robert Lewandowski cross the ball from that close to the goal. But no, Gerard just stood there and watched the Pole ready his pass.
Ronald Araujo — 3
The Uruguayan played out of position, that's fair. And still, there were many flaws about his game. Araujo wasn't as good defensively as he normally is, he got beaten by the opposing winger in the situation with the third goal.
And when it came to ball progression and supporting the attack, it's difficult to do worse than Ronald did.
Oscar Mingueza — 3
Mingueza doesn't have the speed nor the positional awareness to keep level with the Bayern Munich defenders. He was often getting beaten off the dribble and did not contribute upfront at all.
Others: Lenglet — 5, Alba — 6.5, Busquets — 5, F. de Jong — 5, Gavi — 6.5, Dembele — 6.5, Memphis — 4, Nico — 6, Puig — 5.5, Coutinho — 5, Demir — n/a.
