Laporta: 'I think Barca will advance to the knockout stage'

"I have seen a lot of focus on the faces of the players, also motivation to work. I think that they will get the result and we will go through [and qualify for the knockout stage]," Joan Laporta told reporters ahead of the Bayern Munich clash, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

"Barca is a club that has the tradition of taking part in the Champions League and we want to go through.

"We know that all Barcelona fans want us to go through, and it is one of those games in which you have to show your pride, show who you are. I am very confident that today — although the weather may not be ideal, but that is not an excuse — Barca will show pride and dignity."

After recording two wins, two losses and a draw, the Catalans need to beat Bayern Munich away in order to advance to the round of 16. If not, they'd have to depend on Dynamo Kyiv not to lose to Benfica away.
