Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will go head-to-head after Manchester United was drawn against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last 16 on Monday.
It’s the re-emergence of the Messi/Ronaldo rivalry!
Megasportsarena.com reports that both men, who are unarguably the best players of their generation, have been locked in intense rivalry from their times in the Spanish La Liga and the battle to win the Balon D’Or.
The rivalry isn’t abating anytime soon.
Ronaldo will also have to battle his former teammates at Real Madrid, who are now Messi’s buddies at PSG, Sergio Ramos and Angel De Maria.
Manchester United and Paris St. Germain have met four times in the Champions League since 2018-19 and currently have two victories apiece.
PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino is tipped to replace Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford when his interim tenure is over.
