According to reports from Brazil Fc Barcelona had previously attempted to sign Former chelsea Midfielder Oscar earlier in the year.
The Brazilian has been with Shanghai SIPG since 2017.

TNT Sports Brasil says Barca made contact with Shanghai about a move in early 2021.
