China bans national team footballers from getting tattoos

As reported by the BBC, China has banned its national team footballers from getting tattoos on their bodies.

That's not all - the ones who already have tattoos have been advised to get them removed in a new government directive.

Players of the senior team and the youth sides have been 'strictly prohibited' from getting inked to set a 'good example for society'.

Tattoos are stigmatised in China, with the ruling Communist Party against the whole idea of body art.
