Karim Benzema: 'Someone who criticizes Messi knows nothing about football'

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has backed Lionel Messi to succeed at PSG.

He told Telefoot: “How is Messi not going to succeed? It’s just a time of adaptation, because he hasn’t scored many goals.

“But look what he does on the pitch. In any case, you can’t criticize a player like that, someone who criticizes Messi doesn’t understand anything about football.”

Messi might’ve been Benzema’s former rival during his days at Barcelona, but the French striker clearly holds a ton of respect for the Argentine star.

Leo is yet to properly get going at PSG, but has still managed impressive stats, scoring 6 goals and registering 5 assists in 16 appearances in all competitions.
