Man City superfan Liam Gallagher apologizes for threatening to kill Stefan Savic after Champions League clash

Manchester City’s big fan and Oasis’ lead singer Liam Gallagher has been forced to apologize to Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic after threatening to kill him.

The ordeal happened during City’s 0-0 draw with Atletico in the Champions League quarter-finals second leg, during which Gallagher tweeted: “Stefan Savic, this is a threat, if I come across you ya goofy looking c*** you're dead.”

This was not appreciated by fans and the Oasis lead vocalist later deleted the tweet and apologized, writing: “I'm really upset and annoyed at myself, I feel I've let all my fans down by my outlandish behaviour.

“I'm a role model to grown-ups, hope you can forgive me.”

Gallagher is an avid supporter of City for decades and doesn’t shy away from posting his controversial opinions on Twitter.

He was clearly irked when Savic fought with the City players in the Champions League game, but has had to apologize for his controversial comments.
