Third time lucky? Chelsea look to end losing streak in FA Cup finals

Chelsea have reached the FA Cup final for the third time in a row, defeating Crystal Palace 2-0.

On two previous occasions, however, the Blues were defeated just one step away from the trophy.

In 2020, Frank Lampard's side took a lead against Arsenal but let the Gunners come from behind and beat them 2-1.

A year later, already under Thomas Tuchel, the Blues were stunned by Youri Tielemans' thunderbolt that won Leicester the first FA Cup trophy in their history.

Now, Chelsea will hope that their fifth FA Cup final in six years will result in the second trophy in that period for them. The last time they lifted the cup was under Antonio Conte in 2018.
