Gay Championship Star To Come Out In Tv Interview Next Week

As per The Sun, a brave teenage footballer for a Championship club will proudly come out as gay in a TV interview next week.

By doing so, he will become the first active openly gay footballer in Britain, taking a page out of Adelaide United star Josh Cavallo's book.

Cavallo opened up on his sexual orientation in an emotional interview, drawing praises from fans across the world.

The Sun understands that the Championship player has informed his team about the decision. Both club officials and his teammates have given him their full backing.

A source told the publication: "Football dressing rooms have moved with the times and none of the players sees sees as a big deal.

"They are all more interested in how he plays and trains. He is a highly valued member of the team."
