“The truth is it hit me very hard,” Lionel Messi said when discussing his battle with Covid-19.
“Symptoms were very similar to how everyone else gets it. Coughing, sore throat, fever. But I have post covid issues in the lungs.
“I couldn't train. I couldn’t even run.”
Messi tested positive for Covid-19 in January earlier this year and missed a few games for PSG because of it. Fortunately, he has since made a full recovery from it and not suffering from any post-Covid symptoms anymore.
