Ten Hag identifies four groups of United players worth keeping - 8 names revealed

Erik ten Hag feels that Man United’s current squad contains four groups of players worth preserving going forward, claims The Guardian.

The first includes those at the peak of their careers, including the likes of Raphael Varane and Bruno Fernandes.

After that, he sees worth keeping those entering their peak form, like Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay.

He also thinks players on the upward trajectory of their careers, like Jadon Sancho, need to be encouraged in his system.

Ten Hag is also likely to give opportunities to talented players from the academy with a bright future - like James Garner, Hannibal Mejbri, and Alejandro Garnacho.

The Dutchman believes the current squad has vastly underperformed this season and hopes to help the players regain their form next season.
