Xavi refuse Koeman comparison defends ex Barca legend

"I cannot be compared to any other coach. Koeman was in a different position [than me] and he performed well. And now I'm the coach. I think we have improved since I arrived in November, and the numbers reflect that," Xavi has told the media.

"It's not me who wins, but Barca. It's absurd to compare my numbers to those of Koeman, he did a great job. Let's not compare me to Koeman, but to my first game in November, and there is proof that we have improved," he added.

Numbers show Barcelona have massively improved since Xavi became the Catalans' head coach. Blaugrana have climbed to 2nd place from 9th in November; they are also on course to qualifying for the Spanish Super Cup.
