Xavi defends Barca veterans amid criticism from fans

"Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Gerard Pique show me their commitment on a daily basis, it's something fantastic," Xavi said after the away Real Betis victory.

"The captains have been criticized because this is Barcelona but they don't hide and pull us forward. It excites me when these players show desire and give everything on the pitch."

Recently, the Barca fans launched a hashtag on Twitter urging the club to sell the four captains and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

All of them - except Sergi Roberto, who is injured - have been key players under Xavi.
