Ajax have no plans on selling Antony for a cheap fee amid Man United’s plans of signing him for around £40m.
According to reliable Dutch outlet De Telegraaf, the Eredivisie champions are not going to sell Antony for anything below €70m (£60m)-€80m (£70m).
The Red Devils want to make the Brazilian winger their first signing under Erik ten Hag, but will not find that easy to do.
Ajax ideally doesn’t want to sell Antony at all this summer, but might break their resolve for a major bid.
United CEO Richard Arnold claimed that their transfer budget was something around £200m, so signing Antony for that amount will take a big chunk out of the transfer chest.
The Red Devils want to get some signings done before the start of the pre-season campaign as Ten Hag is growing frustrated with their slow progress in the transfer market.
