Bale one step away from agreeing move to England second-tier club

According to Wales Online, Gareth Bale visited has visited Cardiff City's training centre to have a personal chat with their coach Steve Morison.

Their owner Vincent Tan is very keen on signing the Welshman on a free transfer. Bale has promised to give a definitive answer in the coming days despite planning to be on holiday until July 16.

There are other clubs interested in the former Real Madrid winger as well. He will be available as a free agent.

The reason why Bale might be inclined to accept Cardiff's offer is the opportunity to live in his hometown. The Bluebirds play in England's second tier and finished in 18th place last season.

It appears that the 32-year-old plans to continue his career for one more year just to play for Wales at the 2022 World Cup. He might retire already next summer.
