Ansu Fati's stamina and speed drop after refusing surgery, Barca worry he will never recover his previous level

Diario Sport report that Ansu Fati has undergone several tests at Barcelona to determine his physical parameters after the latest injury.

The 19-year-old's results dropped in comparison to his pre-injury ones, having lost in stamina, agility, speed and power.

The club worries that Fati will never recover his physical attributes from the past which - in addition to his scoring ability - allowed him to make the difference on the pitch. Barca believe it was a mistake for him to refuse surgery.

Meanwhile, Xavi sees Ansu as a starter for next season. He hopes that the youngster will be back at his best after a proper pre-season.

One indication that Fati has not fully recovered from his strain of injuries is Luis Enrique not playing him for a single minute during the latest international break.
