Liverpool are edging closer to coming to an agreement with Benfica over Darwin Nunez, according to The Athletic.
Benfica are said to be looking for £85 million for their star forward and that would mean Liverpool would have to break their current transfer record, which is not seen as a deterrent for the club.
Nunez also has seen interest from Man United and Atletico Madrid but he prefers a move to Anfield.
As Mane looks almost certain to leave the club, the management believes Nunez could be the ideal replacement for him.
