Konate Names Player Liverpool Fans Hate As One Of His Role Models

Ibrahima Konate spoke about his role models in the world of football and the defender took two names.

"My two role models are Sergio Ramos and Virgil Van Dijk," Ibou Konate told RMC, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

"Ramos at Real is the grinta [fearless]. At Madrid he was a positive leader with lots of goals.

"Not only Van Dijk but all the players like (Joe) Gomez or Matip. They are experienced players who brought me. Van Dijk is the best central defender in the world and he gave me a lot of advice. Every Liverpool player has helped me, in every position like Sadio Mane or Fabinho.

"It's only the beginning and I hope to learn a lot and progress. On my qualities, I think I'm going fast, having intelligence despite my physical qualities. Finally, I'm not afraid of the ball."
