When asked about how Barcelona are being able to finance big money transfers despite being reportedly over €1bn in debt, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano said: “I'll be honest, I don't know.
“People in football don't know, the agents don't know... Nobody knows how they can manage so much money right now.”
Barca completed the signing of Leeds United winger Raphinha on Wednesday for a major fee of around €67m. They are also looking to sign Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski and are ready to pay over €50m for him.
Moreoevr, Barca are also looking to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde along with Chelsea right-back Cesar Azpilicueta.
They are starting to active ‘economic levers’ of selling aspects of the club to gain major money, which they claim to be using on these transfers.
