La Liga has submitted a request to the Administrative Court in Paris to cancel Kylian Mbappe's brand-new contract with PSG, according to news agency AFP.
While the request was rejected over a lack of urgency, court sources have confirmed to AFP that the case will be 'examined' over a longer period.
As per the lawyer fighting for La Liga, PSG did not respect the 'criteria and indicators provided for by UEFA' by violating rules of financial fair play. And this 'generated a significant and direct prejudice against the applicant, La Liga'.
Mbappe was linked with a long-standing move to Real Madrid. Had it gone through, the Spanish federation would have earned plenty of money through broadcasting and advertising rights.
However, Mbappe shocked the community by doing a last-minute u-turn and extending his stay with PSG.
