Manuel Neuer disappoints German taxi driver who drove 120KM to return his wallet by only offering him a jersey

Manuel Neuer has infuriated a German taxi driver who drove 120 km (74.5 miles) to return a wallet left in his vehicle by the Bayern Munich star.

The driver named ‘Hazir S’ by Sky Sports Germany, drove Neuer and his friend around the city to their destination last month.

But hours after dropping him, the driver found that the goalkeeper had left his wallet in his car by mistake.

Hazir managed to track down Neuer’s manager and drove 120km just to return the wallet, during his working hours.

A few weeks later, the driver received a Bayern jersey in his mail without any comment. He’s been infuriated by this, telling Sky Sports: “This finder's fee is a mockery. I have four children.

“I can't do anything with the jersey,”

The reason why the driver was so disappointed is that he spent around €400 on the journey to return the wallet. He probably expected a cash reward for his work, but was disappointed to get a €100 worth jersey.
