Neymar 'extends PSG contract' for 2 more years amid Chelsea links

Neymar has signed a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain that keeps him at the club till 2027, as per L'Equipe, a highly reliable French outlet.

The Brazilian would have seen his earlier contract expire in 2025 but he now gets an extra two years which comes into effect this July 1.

L'Equipe understands that Neymar and his representatives were disappointed with Nasser Al-Khelaifi's recent remarks where the club president publicly criticised the 30-year-old for not doing enough on the pitch last season.

Neymar only scored 14 goals and assisted six times, with tensions reaching a boiling point after PSG crashed out of the Champions League.

However, both parties have settled their differences. Neymar is now set to stay at PSG despite strong links to both Chelsea and Manchester United.

His agents have reportedly confirmed that Neymar is 'very happy' with the extension. The forward also wishes to have 'one of his best seasons ever' in 2022/23.
