OFFICIAL: Matthijs de Ligt joins Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have officially announced the signing of centre-back Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus.

The Dutchman has put pen to paper on a five-year contract, tying him to the Bundesliga giants until the summer of 2027.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern will pay Juventus a guaranteed transfer fee of €70 million plus an additional €10 million in various add-ons.

De Ligt said: "I'm very happy to become a player for this great club. Bayern is a brilliantly run club with big aims. I'm very glad that I'm now becoming part of the Bayern story."
