Ten Hag pushed for Lisandro Martinez for 2 key reasons

Lisandro Martinez's move to Manchester United is confirmed with the Red Devils announcing an agreement with Ajax.

Erik ten Hag was the one who pushed for the purchase of the centre-back whom he signed for the Eredivisie giants back in 2019.

The Dutchman 'likes players he knows and trust' and the Argentine has earned his respect by winning back his place in the team after getting benched.

The 24-year-old's 'aggression' was the other key factor for the new Old Trafford boss. Martinez's style of defending is something that Ten Hag wants to see more of next season.
