According to The Athletic, a tier-one source, Anthony Martial has injured his hamstring in training and will miss our Premier League opener against Brighton.
After a promising pre-season, fans were hopeful that Martial will lead the line as Cristiano Ronaldo is far from being match fit.
Now that Martial is ruled out, Erik ten Hag is staring at a potential striker crisis at Manchester United.
The Athletic understands that Martial's injury is minor but perhaps this should prompt the board to sign a new striker before the transfer window ends.
