Barcelona ask Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets for salary reduction

To this day, Barcelona are unable to register their 2022 summer signings due to the club's massive financial debt.

According to Spanish transfer insider Gerard Romero, Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets have been asked to reduce their salaries.

The veteran duo remain among the highest-paid players at Camp Nou despite previously agreeing to lower their wages at the height of the pandemic.

Should the centre-back and the midfielder refuse another pay decrease, the La Liga giants could have 'a big problem' even with all three of their so-called 'economic levers'.
