Barcelona will not earn a penny from Memphis if he leaves: Explained

Juventus are really serious about signing Memphis Depay from Barcelona. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Juve are already discussing a two-year deal with the player's agent.

Here's the interesting part - Romano says Memphis will leave Barcelona if his contract is terminated by the club.

The Dutchman will only accept that termination if he's satisfied with the offer from Juventus.

If that happens, Memphis will leave Barca for free! This means Barca will not earn any money from his departure as opposed to the €20m fee previously quoted. Barca will only take his wage bill off their books.
