Manchester United's pursuit of Frenkie De Jong is not over, according to Spanish transfer insider Alvaro Montero of Sky Sports.
The Dutchman is being 'truthful' in conversations with interested clubs, indicating that his main goal is to stay at Barcelona beyond this summer.
However, the 25-year-old Netherlands international remains open to the idea leaving Camp Nou before the European summer transfer window shuts down on August 31.
The report adds that Man United are currently favourites over Chelsea to sign De Jong even though the Blues can offer him Champions League football next season: Erik ten Hag is said to be a bigger pull.
