'He could be a scouser': Lijnders reveals what Jota did after seeing reports of Mane's departure

Pep Lijnders revealed how Diogo Jota reacted when he saw rumours about Sadio Mane's departure earlier this summer.

“There were rumours Bayern were looking to sign Sadio. During breakfast, Diogo confronted Sadio while seeing the news on Sky,” Lijnders said. 

“Trent was sitting next to him and we both started laughing when I said Jota could be a Scouser. He confronts without any hesitation.”

Jota was injured in his last game for Portugal this summer. He recovered from the injury partially, only to be sidelined for longer. He provided an update yesterday, saying it may be a few more weeks before he is back to full fitness.
