Ibrahima Konate is set to miss the start of the 2022-23 season after sustaining an injury during Sunday’s pre-season friendly with RC Strasbourg Alsace, Liverpool FC confirmed today.
The centre-back had to be substituted in the second half of the match as he picked up a knock. It has not been mentioned how long Konate will be out.
He wrote on social media: "Unfortunately, I have to spend some time off the pitch but it won’t be too long. In the meantime, I will be doing my best to come back even stronger and support the boys."
Liverpool are set to face Fulham this weekend as the new Premier League season starts. Hopefully, Konate doesn't miss a lot of game time.
