Darwin Nunez was sent off for headbutting defender Joachim Andersen in the second half of the Palace game.
"Nunez knows [he let team down]. I’ll talk to him. That’s not the reaction we want to see," Jurgen Klopp told media after the game.
"He knows he will be challenged in this way, centre-halves will do that, but it is not a reaction we want.
"I would've loved to tell him before the red card that this can happen. Now we have three games without him and we have time to tell him that."
