'We're going to push each other': Chilwell on competing with Cucurella
Chelsea signed Marc Cucurella despite having a world-class left-back in Ben Chilwell. The Englishman started the game against Everton but it was the Spaniard who finished the game at left wing-back.
"We’re at Chelsea so there’s going to be a lot of good players," Chilly said, as quoted by the club's official website.
"Competition for places is going to be fierce and obviously we’re going to push each other the same as everyone else in the team."
Chilwell won the decisive penalty while Cucurella came close to providing an assist to Sterling, so both players put in good displays. It's interesting how Tuchel would manage their game time this season.
Apart from Cucurella, Tuchel gave debuts to Koulibaly and Sterling. Raheem and Kalidou impressed.
"They all did really well. They impacted the game really positively so we’re very happy to have all of them," Chilwell added.
"They’re going to help us a lot this season because they’re three really good signings."
