Ancelotti picks top 3 La Liga title contenders this season - includes 7th-placed Atleti

“La Liga title contenders? Barcelona are doing really well and so are we," Carlo Ancelotti told Real Madrid media.

"Atletico haven’t had the best of starts, but it’s a strange season. We don’t know what will happen after the World Cup and what has happened to Atletico could happen to us or to Barcelona after the tournament.

"It’s going to be a more competitive league season than the previous one,” Ancelotti added.

The top three teams in La Liga this season are Real Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Atletico Madrid are currently seated 7th on the table with 10 points from 6 games. However, as Carlo said, they won the title two seasons and can't be ruled out just yet.
