Man United planning to extend contracts of Rashford & 4 more players

Man United are looking to extend the contracts of five first-team players by triggering the one-year automatic extension clauses in their deals, claims Manchester Evening News.

These players are David de Gea, Marcus Rashford, Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw and Fred.

The contract of these players are technically set to expire next year, but United hold the right to extend it to 2024.

The Red Devils are yet to open contract renewal talks with any of these players as they prefer to take more time assessing the situations first.

Rashford, Dalot and De Gea have solidified themselves as key members of Erik ten Hag’s team and featured heavily so far this season.

Shaw and Fred, however, have fallen down the pecking order and aren’t considered as key members of the squad anymore.
