Eddie Howe has defended his Newcastle players against accusations of time-wasting in their 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.
“It's a Premier League game, there is so much fatigue. They had one more day rest than us.
"There was no gamesmanship from us it was tired bodies."
Eventually referee Andre Marriner added 3 extra minutes on top of the 5 stoppage time minutes that enabled Liverpool to find a winner.
