Antonio Rudiger couldn't finish the match against Shakhtar Donetsk after cutting his forehead in a collision with the rival goalkeeper.
According to La Sexta, the defender had 20 stitches applied to his head after the game.
In the plane on his way back to Madrid, Rudiger wrote: "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I am okay, thanks for all the messages"
As expected, all of his teammates offered their support and encouragement.
In an Instagram story, the Real Madrid centre-back added: "We Alive."
