According to the reliable Mario Cortegana, Antonio Rudiger is still unable to open his left eye because of the inflammation. Nevertheless, Real Madrid hope that the centre-back will recover in time for the Barcelona clash on Sunday.
Another top reporter, Arancha Rodriguez, claims that the German may need to wear a protective mask if he is to play in the upcoming Clasico. However, the chances of him making it in time are rather slim.
The good news is that Rudiger has no bone fracture, as La Sexta report. Thus, this does not completely rule him out for Sunday.
As a reminder, the 30-year-old suffered a head injury after a collision with the Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper on Tuesday.
