Joel Matip and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been ruled out of action for at least two weeks, claims The Athletic.
Both defenders picked up injuries in Liverpool’s loss to Arsenal and had to be substituted as a result.
Matip suffered a calf problem and will be out for 2-3 weeks. Trent will also miss two weeks of action with an ankle injury.
This will be a major blow to Jurgen Klopp, who sees that his side have some important games ahead in the next few weeks.
Matip and Alexander-Arnold will both miss the upcoming clash against Man City, as well as the next two Champions League games.
Klopp might have to change things around a bit and has a major task to get his side firing on all cylinders once again.
