'All good players have to be here': Pedri opens up on Asensio-to-Barca rumours

"It remains to be seen what happens to Marco Asensio's contract, but I think all good players have to be at Barcelona. However, I'm not trying to convince anyone here," Pedri has told Cope.

Barcelona are said to be monitoring Asensio's contract situation. Although the player has expressed his desire to sign a new deal with Real Madrid, he also said that he might join Barca one day.

The winger's current deal with Real Madrid expires next summer. He would be able to discuss his future with other clubs already in January.

The 26-year-old has scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists in 15 matches for Real Madrid this season.
