It's been almost four days since Gerard Pique came out to announce his retirement from football. Encomiums followed the announcement with superstars around the world hailing the Spaniard as a true legend of the game.
But Lionel Messi has conspicuously kept mum on social media over Pique's retirement - let's not forget they were teammates for nearly a decade.
According to L'Equipe, Messi's entourage asked the legend to post a social media message for Pique after the defender announced his retirement but Leo refused.

Messi could still post a message for the veteran defender, or he may have done it already in private.
However, it's taken too long already and eyebrows are raised.
