Man United’s plans to sign a new young striker next year have not been deterred with Marcus Rashford’s impressive form this season, claims Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth.
He told GiveMeSport: “I don’t think Rashford’s form on its own would change Manchester United’s thinking. I think Manchester United will always have a long-term strategy, and we do know that during the summer they were after a striker.
“So, regardless of how Rashford plays, I don’t think that that would change United’s thinking.”
The Red Devils are reportedly looking to find a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo next year and have identified RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko and Juventus man Dusan Vlahovic as potential options.
United are probably have to pay major fee to sign a quality striker next year, but Erik ten Hag is unlikely to hesitate to do so after seeing his side’s goal-scoring struggles this season.
