Arsenal fans to Saka: 'Thanks for shutting Rooney up'

Arsenal fans have applauded Bukayo Saka for responding to Wayne Rooney's call for him to be left out of England's starting XI vs Senegal with a goal.

They made their views known in response to a post on Tribiuna.

Bills Parker: "Saka just responded to Rooney on the pitch because he's far better than him when it comes to playing in the World Cup".

Ahead of the game, Rooney said he would stick with the side that defeated Wales - preferring Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford on the flanks.

However, Gareth Southgate recalled Saka to the team and the Arsenal star scored one of the three goalsl. England face France on Saturday.
