Official: Spanish FA reply to Barcelona's appeal against Lewandowski suspension

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have dismissed Barcelona's appeal against Robert Lewandowski's suspension.

The Pole will still miss the next three La Liga matches. He won't be able to feature against Espanyol (December 31), Atletico Madrid (January 8) and Real Betis (January 14).

Lewandowski was only viable to receive a one-game suspension for his red card against Osasuna, which was due to two yellow cards he received.

However, referee Gil Manzano complained that he felt the Polish striker had disrespected him with a nose gesture after getting sent off. That is why two more games were added to his suspension.
